The sequence
What happens next
After you submit an enquiry we pass it to one vetted installer covering your postcode, usually the same working day. They contact you to arrange a survey, measure up, and quote. The price is theirs and your contract is with them. Nobody else receives your details.

Five steps
In order, with who is acting at each
- 01 You
You tell us the postcode and the job
The postcode check runs immediately. If we have no vetted installer covering you, we say so on the spot rather than taking your details and doing nothing with them.
- 02 TrustedGlazing
We match you to one installer
One. We pass your enquiry to a single vetted installer who covers your area and works on the kind of job you described. Your details do not go anywhere else.
- 03 The installer
They contact you to arrange a survey
Usually within a working day or two. A surveyor measures your actual openings, which is the only way to price the job properly.
- 04 The installer, then you
They quote, and you decide
The quote is theirs. We never see it and we never set it. You are under no obligation, and if you would rather not go ahead, that is the end of it.
- 05 The installer
The work, and the paperwork
If you proceed, your contract is directly with the installer. They should register the work under their competent person scheme and send you the certificate, along with the guarantee documents.
Paperwork
What you should end up with
Keep these. They are what you will need if something goes wrong later, or when you sell.
- 01 A FENSA, CERTASS or Assure certificate for the work, or a building control completion notice.
- 02 The written guarantee, and the insurance-backed guarantee document if there is one.
- 03 An itemised invoice showing what was fitted, including the glass specification.
- 04 Your contract, including the cancellation rights that apply to work agreed in your home.
Questions
Asked about the sequence
- How quickly will someone contact me?
- Usually within one or two working days. If nobody has been in touch after three, email us and we will chase them or match you with someone else.
- Can I get a price without a survey?
- Not an accurate one. Openings are rarely square, lintels and sills vary, and access changes the labour. Anyone quoting a firm price without measuring is guessing, and the figure tends to move once they turn up.
- What if I do not get on with the installer?
- Tell us. You are under no obligation to proceed, and we would rather know an introduction went badly than keep sending that installer enquiries.
- Can you stop the introduction after I have submitted?
- Yes. Email us and we will stop it and delete your details, provided you tell us before the installer has already contacted you.
