Draft, pending legal review

This wording has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor. It is published so the site is not operating with nothing in place, and it will be replaced before we accept enquiries at scale. If you need to rely on any of it in the meantime, email us and we will confirm the position in writing.

What we do

TrustedGlazing, a trading name of HDCH Limited, operates an introduction service. We pass your enquiry to one installer we have vetted and who covers your area.

What we do not do

This is the important part, so it is listed rather than buried.

  • We do not manufacture, supply, install or repair windows or doors.
  • We do not quote, price or estimate your job. Any figure on this site is a published industry guide, clearly marked as such, and is not an offer.
  • We are not party to your contract with the installer, and we do not act as their agent or yours.
  • We do not guarantee, warrant or insure the installer's work.
  • We do not provide credit, finance or insurance, and we do not advise on them.

Your contract is with the installer

If you proceed, the contract for the survey, supply and installation is directly between you and the installer. Their terms, their price, their guarantee. Any dispute about the work is between you and them.

We would still like to hear about it. An installer who generates complaints stops receiving enquiries from us.

Vetting, and its limits

We carry out the checks set out on how we vet installers. Those checks reduce risk; they do not eliminate it, and they are not a guarantee of the quality of any particular job. We are telling you what we verified, not promising an outcome.

The information on this site

We take care to keep the guidance here accurate and we name the source and date for every price figure. Building regulations, scheme rules and market prices change. Nothing here is professional advice about your specific property, and you should rely on your installer's survey and your local authority rather than on this site.

Using the site

Do not submit an enquiry on someone else's behalf without their knowledge, submit false details, or use automated means to complete the form. An enquiry has to be the person's own act, because that is what their consent to be contacted rests on.

Liability

[NEEDS HUMAN SIGN-OFF] The liability position is for the owner's solicitor to draft. Our working intention is that we are liable for our own acts in operating the introduction service, and not for the acts or omissions of an installer, and that nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Law

[NEEDS HUMAN SIGN-OFF] Governing law and jurisdiction clause to be confirmed by the owner's solicitor.
